Review: My sister and I made a trip to Calistoga and had the most incredible experience at Golden Haven Spa. We went specifically to try the mud bath, and it truly exceeded our expectations—it was a full sensory journey! The smell might catch you off guard at first, but that’s just the natural sulfur. Once you ease into the hot mud and feel the warmth seep into your body, you’ll understand why this is such a cherished tradition.

Our attendant, Maria, was absolutely wonderful—kind, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. After the mud bath, we enjoyed a soothing hot mineral bath, followed by a tranquil cool-down wrap with a cozy blanket and fresh cucumbers on our eyes.

The property is small and charming, and the entire staff was warm and welcoming. Just a tip: eat light beforehand and definitely hydrate well—you’ll thank yourself later.
